Mr. Greg Orth
Manager  – Onboard Services
United Airlines, Inc. - FRASW
Frankfurt Airport Center 1
D-4 Room 27 (Box 502)
D-60549 Frankfurt
Flughafen, Germany

Dear Greg,

The Flight Attendants domiciled at Frankfurt have suffered many disappointments in the past few years:
the loss of  flying, the closing of their former base in Paris.  In the meantime, the ranks of those commuting to Frankfurt has continued to grow.

The Flight Attendants domiciled in Frankfurt are watching United's post-bankruptcy efforts underway to expand our service, refresh our airplanes and return United Airlines to the pre-eminent airline of the world.

"The sacrifice, hard work and dedication of United's front-line workers must be recognized if our airline is to achieve its full potential."

The sacrifice, hard work and dedication of United's front-line workers must be recognized if our airline is to achieve its full potential. Addressing quality of life issues for Flight Attendants is critical to our collective success as an airline.

Enhancing travel benefits for Flight Attendants should be a priority as quality of life issues are addressed.  Other airlines are benefiting from reciprocal cabin seat agreements and these can work for United as well.

Reciprocal cabin seat agreements are of particular interest for Flight Attendants as many have been displaced from their homes due to base closures and surplus.  Reducing hassles for Flight Attendants commuting to work will benefit our airline as more employees will have the ability to focus on the success of the company rather than expending time, energy and compensation on getting to and from work.

We know that other airlines have expressed an interest in achieving these agreements with United Airlines.  There can be no down side to reaching these open seat agreements with other airlines.  Simply put, reciprocal cabin seat agreements will have a direct impact on operational integrity, employee engagement and begin to restore confidence in the decisions made by management.

Demand that these agreements be made available as soon as possible.

Don't let this opportunity lapse for Flight Attendants in Frankfurt and the success of the domicile.

Sincerely,

Marian A. Drabosenik, President
