All Local Council Presidents from the same airline form a Master Executive Council (MEC). The MEC elects a President, Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer for three-year terms, and handles negotiations and other business affecting Members at that airline.

Next week, your Locally Elected Leaders will attend the Spring 2017 Regular Meeting of the United Master Executive Council (MEC) from April 11 through April 13, 2017. Our AFA structure is successful because the Flight Attendant Membership based at the location elects their Local Executive Council (LEC) leadership from among their peers.
The second AFA Listening Tour is in the final process of being scheduled with Local, MEC and International Officers. Mark your calendars for April 20, 2017 in Chicago (ORD) time, location and more details will be announced soon.
