Red Hot Solidarity on the Picket Line

Can you feel the solidarity?! Yesterday, thousands of you came out to airports around the system and online to demand United management fix the ongoing operational issues and finish negotiating our contract.

When it rains, United management melts down. Flight Attendants don’t! Guam kicked off our ENOUGH Day of Action in the literal rain, but our solidarity was shining across the world for 24 hours straight. Every seniority was represented on the picket line.

One member in Denver said, “Never been more proud to be a member than today. Coming from Florida where unions aren’t huge I never expected to be welcomed into a family like this. I’m forever grateful for everything we do as a union.” Another Flight Attendant from Houston said,

“I’ve been quiet for a long time. Today, I actually showed up….”

We are united.

It is past time for management to prioritize and address our quality of work-life issues and the time and money to fix the problems. United Flight Attendants are fired up and have had enough of management’s excuses and inaction. Our actions yesterday are only the beginning. We’re building our power through our solidarity and action every single day on the line.

We want to thank everyone who joined us on the picket line including Flight Attendants from Air Wisconsin, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines (APFA), Delta Air Lines, Envoy Air, Frontier Airlines, Mesa Airlines, Southwest Airlines (TWU 556), and Spirit Airlines. Union members from across the labor movement joined us, including our ALPA Pilots, Teamster Mechanics, IAM Ramp & Customer Service, CWA, AFT, IUPAT, Writers Guild of America, AFSCME, IBEW, SEIU, Seafarers, UFCW, IATSE, Gulf Coast, San Diego, and Chicago local labor federations, and many more. Workers are united behind our fight at United Airlines.

Feel the solidarity on the picket line and live it every day on the line. We are united. Wear your red AFA pin, stay engaged, and united in our Solidarity.
