Effective Tuesday, October 10, 2023, there will be a relocation of the Known Crewmember (KCM) Security checkpoint at SFO Terminal 3. The checkpoint will shift from the departures level to the baggage claim level, specifically adjacent to baggage carousel 7. This location is currently used by the TSA for employee and vendor security checks.

Please note that the drop-off location for hotel shuttles and Lot D employee parking remains unchanged on the departures level. Crewmembers will need to take the escalator down to the baggage claim level to access the KCM checkpoint. Alternatively, crewmembers can utilize the KCM portal in Terminal 2.

In the event crewmembers are selected for random screening, you will need to go the adjacent Employee Screening Checkpoint.  If selected for additional random screening, crewmembers in uniform may proceed to the front of the Employee Screening Checkpoint. But keep in mind that additional screening may be subject to unanticipated wait times.

The SFO Terminal 3 KCM checkpoint operates daily from 0330-2359 PT.

The ongoing success of the KCM program relies on crew members demonstrating their commitment to adhering to all associated requirements. It is crucial that all crewmembers follow the rules of the program to maintain our eligibility for participation in the Known Crewmember program. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued a Notice to Participating Airlines emphasizing crewmember compliance with KCM regulations.
