As an added layer of personal health and safety protection the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued the following temporary liquid disinfectant allowance for non-uniformed crewmembers traveling with personal use quantities of liquid disinfected products.

Effective April 30 through July 31, 2020, the following guidance will apply:

1. Non-uniformed crewmembers are required to present their company CREW ID badge.

2. Any commercially-produced disinfectant product may be subject to additional screening by TSA and may be prohibited from transport at the discretion of the Federal Security Director or his/her designee.

3. This exemption is limited to commercially-produced disinfectant products only and does not apply to other liquids, prohibited hazardous materials (unless otherwise authorized by a Special Permit from the Department of Transportation), or items on the TSA prohibited items list.
