Our Contractual Profit Sharing Program is set forth in Section 4.N. of our JCBA and provides that all Flight Attendants who have completed one full year of service as of December 31st of the year for which pre-tax earnings are being measured are eligible to participate in a pre-tax profit sharing program.

As a result of United’s 2019 financial performance, employees earned $491 million in Profit Sharing for the full year (compared to $334 million last year). Employees in participating workgroups share a portion of United's profits when the Company earns more than $10 million in adjusted pre-tax earnings for the year. The percentage of profits set aside for Profit Sharing varies by workgroup, and for Flight Attendants, is based on our Contract.

 International Purser Recruitment and Hiring

For the first time since 2016, United is accepting new applications for potential International Purser (IP) vacancies. It is estimated that more International Pursers will be needed at EWR, IAH, SFO, and GUM.

Requirements for a successful IP candidate are outlined in the International Purser job description on Flying Together: (Inflight Services > In this Section > International Purser program).

Please note, management will continue to clear the waitlist and will accept qualified International Purser transfers into a specific base before activating any new International Pursers in that base consistent with the terms of LOA 16.

Flight Attendant Negotiations Survey Is Open

Negotiations Support Committee

Your Voice Matters! The Contract 2021 Flight Attendant Negotiations Survey is now open. Surveys are in the mail to Flight Attendants from all domiciles. For international Flight Attendants, the majority of surveys were dropped in the mail either in the country of your domicile or, in some cases, the country of your residence and should be arriving within the next week.

We’ve received a number of calls on the Negotiations Survey Helpline many asking about the unique six-character access code.  As of this evening, thanks to the work of our dedicated volunteers, we’ve cleared the voice mail and have returned calls to everyone who left a message.

IMPORTANT: Your mailed survey packet includes a detailed instruction sheet including your 6-character access code which you will need to login to the survey system available on contract 2021.org.

Your 6-character access code is printed to the right side of your mailing address on the letter received within your survey packet on the opposite side of the letter with survey access instructions.

We cannot overstate how valuable your opinions and participation are to us, nor how powerful we will be at the bargaining table, if we stand united in support of our collective

priorities – our solidarity will lead us to our future success.

Opening of all window shades- Incorporation of a new announcement (part of the Announcement Booklet) encouraging but not requiring all window shades to be open for taxi, take-off and landing.
