Victor Saracini

Victor J. Saracini, 51, of Lower Makefield Township, Pa., was captain of United Flight 175.

Saracini, a former Navy pilot, had been flying commercial jets since 1985.

Victor gserved in the Navy, where he trained as a pilot. He worked for United for about 16 years.

He was "a great guy, a man's man" who was protective of his wife and two children, neighbor Matthew Parrish said. "I'm sure he fought to the end," Parrish said.
