OSHA for Flight Attendants

On August 22, 2013, we made history:  In a conversation with FAA Administrator Huerta, she informed AFA International President Veda Shook that the FAA will release a final policy statement in the Federal Register that corrects nearly four decades of FAA's complete jurisdiction over health and safety in the cabin. The cooperative agreement between FAA and OSHA will now extend many of the safety and health standards that exist in other workplaces.

This is an enormous achievement and it would not have been possible without the persistent, tireless work of our Union and it's Members.
