Back on October 17, 2019, United Vice President of Inflight, John Slater announced on Flying Together that United Airlines had signed a memorandum of understanding with our Union,  Association of Flight Attendants (AFA) officially marking the rejoining of the Inflight Safety Action Program (ISAP). 

Safety is the backbone of our industry and the primary reason Flight Attendants are on board the aircraft. We are safety professionals and the first responders in the sky. Rejoining the ISAP program encourages an open, confidential dialogue where Flight Attendants can self-disclose or report concerns to lead to improved safety conditions industry wide. The non-punitive nature of ISAP means Flight Attendants can feel confident providing their report without fear that a personal error will be penalized. This is a learning tool to improve safety.
