The COVID-19 pandemic has touched every part of our daily lives. Monitoring the crisis changes by the hour and as such we must also prepare for the inevitable impact it will have on our 2020 Elections. Specifically, the potentially adverse impact posed to voter turnout and access to the polls. We simply cannot allow the COVID-19 crisis to, in any way, directly affect our fundamental right to vote.

We have already witnessed disruptions to the campaign season. Multiple state primaries have been postponed. The Democratic National Convention has been pushed back to the week of August 17th in Milwaukee immediately preceding the Republican National Convention the week of August 24th in Charlotte. The adjacent dates mean that both parties will be utilizing expert scientific and medical health data from the same time period to assess the safety of holding an event with thousands of people and ultimately, deciding whether holding the conventions outweigh the health and medical risks.

The Coronavirus is not a political issue. But the fact remains the 2020 General Election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3rd and we must be prepared to vote.

First things First - Are you Registered to Vote

The most important thing to do right now is make sure you’re registered to vote. Check your Voter Registration Status here >  If you are not registered, it’s easy! Just click here and follow the prompts.

The very nature of our jobs makes it challenging to vote on Election Day. The Coronavirus crisis leaves us with further uncertainty. We are all concerned about the impact of this crisis and we want to ensure you have all the information you need to vote safely in the upcoming election.
