United has applied to secure new Haneda slot pairs as part of the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) competitive route proceeding. An award of slots to United depends on the U.S. and Japan formalizing an aviation agreement later this year as well as the DOT approving United’s proposal.  If approved, the flights are expected to begin before the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.

United is asking all employees to get involved to show our collective support for United’s application.
