Crisis Counseling
Find your local AFA EAP committee members for referrals at 800-424-2406 or  You can also talk to a professional about emotional distress by calling the Disaster Distress Helpline at 1-800-985-5990 or texting "TalkWithUs" to 66746.

Disaster Clean-Up
If you need assistance with cleanup after the storm, call 800-451-1954 or 844-965-1386 to be placed on the list.  Disaster recovery organizations will contact you if they are able to help you with clean-up efforts in your area.

Disaster Unemployment Assistance
 Family and friends who have lost job because of the hurricane, may be eligible for unemployment benefits.  For more information, go to

Lost-Destroyed Medications
Many pharmacies are allowing early refills or 10 day refills, so contact your medication supplier.  If you receive your prescriptions by mail and you are in a mail stoppage situation, contact your pharmacy to transfer the prescription to a open brick and mortar pharmacy.

Shelter and Relief
Find an open shelter near you by texting SHELTER and your zip code to 4FEMA (43362). Call United Way Helpline at 211 for information on shelters and other forms of assistance.
