AFA Disaster Relief Fund
The AFA Disaster Relief Fund provides a means for AFA-CWA members to assist other members and retirees who have suffered significant damage and/or relocation as a result of a disaster. 100% of the funds contribution will go directly to impacted flight attendants in the form of cash assistance.
How you can help
We know that disasters can change lives forever. While we can’t stop destructive events from happening or harness the destructive forces of nature, we can, as a Union, harness our collective energy and resources to assist our members in need with their recovery. AFA established the disaster relief fund after September 11 to assist our members whose lives were placed in harm’s way for the express purpose.
AFA members and retirees, whose primary residences are in the counties listed below and who have suffered damage and/or dislocation, are eligible for $200.00 from the AFA-CWA Disaster Relief Fund. It is a gift made possible by the generosity of your fellow union sisters and brothers with AFA. The following is the most up to date list of affected Texas counties:
Aransas,Bee, Brazoria, Calhoun, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Goliad, Harris, Jackson, Kleberg, Liberty, Matagorda, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Victoria, Wharton
