Electronic Protest
2012-2016 Contract
United Airlines management has failed Flight Attendants by refusing to negotiate a new Contract. Despite the historic and unprecedented opportunity offered through the Expedited Mediation process, management has squandered the potential for a collaborative Agreement. Management believes you would settle for “crumbs,” and we all know that United Flight Attendants are the best in the industry and what management can do with their “crumbs.”
After over two and a half years of delay, deny and divert, management has now simply utterly failed our community of Flight Attendants altogether. The United Master Executive Council will convene in Chicago this Sunday to review the status of our negotiations and strategize our response and next steps to this outrageous failure of management.
This weekend we encourage Flight Attendants to call management at their luxury offices on Wacker Drive and express your outrage and this missed opportunity. Leave a message, call often and encourage everyone you know to join this initial protest.

Sample script:
My name is _____ and I am a United Airlines Flight Attendant. Expedited Mediation was the perfect opportunity to come together to reach an Agreement for Flight Attendants. Management has squandered this unprecedented opportunity to utilize a fresh and innovative approach based on collaboration, and instead continued your pursuit of overreaching concessions.
Reaching a long-overdue Agreement quickly is imperative to Flight Attendants, and in the best interests of management to bring your merger closer to completion. Without Contracts in place everyone loses. I demand that your negotiators return to the bargaining table and work swift to come to an Agreement that I can support and vote for.
Sign this electronic protest to register that you’ve called. Stay tuned for a message from the MEC following the special meeting Sunday and Monday in Chicago for our response to management’s failure to take our negotiations seriously.
