International Override Applies to Pairings with Flying Outside the Continental U.S. & Canada
Section 4.J.

International override applies to those pairings flown to/from destinations outside the continental United States & Canada. Examples of flying to which this override applies include the destinations of Alaska, Hawaii and Mexico.

The hourly override for this flying is $2.00/hour, prorated, for each block hour flown and for all credited time except sick/occupational leave and vacation.

Payment of the international override does not compel the application of international duty and rest legalities on these segments nor does this change the definition of domestic flying set forth in Section 2.G. of the Contract.  In a circumstance where a pairing with mixed flying contains a domestic segment on one or both ends of an international segment, that is considered an international pairing for the application of international override and per diem.

Please contact your Local Council with any questions.

The exception is if it is a mixed pairing that contains a domestic segment on one or both ends of the international segment.
