Yesterday, remembrance events of September 11, 2001 were observed at locations across our country. Your MEC Officers along with many United Flight Attendants attended these events around the system. MEC President, Ken Diaz, attended the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, PA. Ken spoke at the Flight 93 Memorial and we have included a video of his remarks on the MEC website. Adam Novish, MEC Vice-President was in New York City at the World Trade Center Memorial, and Jeff Heisey, MEC Secretary/Treasurer attended the memorial services on the USS Midway Museum in San Diego, CA.
Sara Nelson, Our AFA International President attended a number of services and was part of the Memorial services at the 9-11 Memorial and Museum in New York. International Vice President, Deb Sutor, was part of the Memorial Services in Shanksville, PA and International Secretary Treasurer, Kevin Creighan was part of the Memorial services at the Pentagon in Washington, DC.
